One of the first biobased leather alternatives that we researched was Vegea, the grape based material made in Regione Lombardia in Italy and we were immediately impressed by the textures, hand feel and amazing range of colours available.

Jennifer was inspired by images of exploring expansive, rolling hills of vineyards scattered across the Italian landscape and of small picturesque villages on warm, sunny days to design a fashion backpack as the perfect companion for these occasions.

It needed to be functionable to carry all the necessities for a day of exploration and sampling fine wines but also stylish in a sophisticated way to complement the romantic textures and vibrant colours alluded to by the surroundings.

To respect the natural, biobased materials used Jennifer also wanted a classical, timeless look that will stand the test of time … introducing the grappaSac, now our signature product.
