The formation of Farmaissance Innovation and iFarmaissance Brands originated from our founders’, Jennifer and Gary Gardner, re-evaluating their business operations and with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, adopting an underlying sense of Social Responsibility to their investment and operational approach.
Their combined expertise and passions include Fashion, Business and ESG, and after initial investments in new farming technologies in Hong Kong the company has developed sustainable handbag and accessories brand iFarmaissance using biobased leather alternatives. At the same time Farmaissance Innovation was established to support the fashion brand and provide a platform for research and innovation related to farming technology, climate action and materials science.
Our Brand name iFarmaissance is derived from (i)nnovation in (Farm)ing and a Ren(aissance) of the traditions and soul of fashion.
Our Vision is: “To create an environment based on life cycle thinking, establishing a platform for the Research and Development of raw materials and products that that will foster circularity from conceptualisation to end of use”.
Our Mission is: “To connect Farming, Innovation and Sustainability to impact the future”
Our Brand Story represents a combination of our founders’ lifetime of business experiences and the family farming heritage in the Great Southern region of Western Australia dating back to 1897 with the export of wool to London in the early 1900’s.
The iFarmaissance brand has been built on a Sustainability Foundation from the very beginning and our Value Proposition focusses squarely on our Sustainability Philosophy which states:
“ By definition sustainability refers to the ability to maintain something at a certain level for an extended period of time. We must explore solutions for food security, climate change, social and economic problems that provide long term solutions rather than stop-gap measures.
Our goal has been to embed sustainability in our business by establishing a systematic framework that ties together and links every life cycle component.
Environmental, Economic and Social Values
